New York, NY (February 6, 2025) – Digital Health New York (DHNY), a dynamic community of CEOs, entrepreneurs, investors, payers and providers driving digital health in New York, today released its 2025 New York Healthcare Innovation Report. This annual publication highlights the key trends, opportunities and strategies shaping New York’s thriving digital health ecosystem.

In 2024, funding rebounded with an increase of 60% over 2023. Biotech and care delivery/coordination accounted for half the total. 79% of the deals were for late-stage companies (vs. early-stage funding). In the fourth quarter alone, we saw funding of $1B with 28 deals.

The report’s key themes include the transformative potential of AI and the critical role of strategic partnerships in driving sustainable, impactful healthcare solutions. In addition, the report includes new insights from the annual State of New York Digital Health research, conducted in partnership with AlleyCorp, which underscores the optimism within the New York digital health community, with 71% of respondents anticipating an active M&A market in 2025. It also highlights perspectives from DHNY Summit, an invitation-only event that brought together the leaders and visionaries who are driving digital health in New York.

“As I reflect on 2024, I am struck by the resilience and innovation that define New York’s health ecosystem,” said Bunny Ellerin, co-founder and CEO of DHNY. “Despite ongoing market challenges, our community achieved remarkable growth this past year, and there’s a palpable sense of optimism about what we can expect in 2025.”
